Islan Realty New Frogmore office - Homes on the Market
When it comes to buying, selling, or renting sea island property, the agents at Island Realty have long been known as the specialists. And now, with the opening of a third office, the specialists have just expanded their area of expertise!  With the addition of their new Frogmore office, the folks at Island Realty, known for their skilled handling of Fripp and Harbor Island properties, will now be applying their vast experience and know-how to all the sea islands.

Broker-in-Charge Jay T. Lloyd intends to add 4 or 5 new agents to a company already 20 agents strong. Together, those current agents have well over 200 years of experience selling Beaufort’s beaches. When it comes to handling property on Fripp Island and Harbor Island, they’ve been outselling their competition almost two to one.

Lloyd sums it up like this,  “No one else knows the market and how to make the most of it like we do.  Anybody can list your island property for you, but we’ll sell it faster and for more money and isn’t that what’s really important?”

Island Realty has been specializing in Beaufort’s beaches, Fripp and Harbor Islands, for years.  Lloyd and the rest of the owners/agents were with Fripp Island Real Estate until the resort was sold in 2000, and they then left to start Island Realty.  The agents average over ten years experience selling these islands.  Not only that – most agents own property on either Fripp, Harbor or Dataw; they are invested in these island communities as only residents can be.  In short, not only do the folks at Island Realty know this market; they know and love these islands.

Lloyd says he and his agents are excited about applying their special expertise to the greater sea island area. With a new central location in Frogmore, the company is now
poised to handle properties on Dataw, Bermuda Point, Bermuda Bluff, St. Helena and beyond.

“If you’re really serious about sea island property, we’re your agency,” says Lloyd. Nobody at our office is doing this on the side, just for fun or a little extra income.  We’re fully invested professionals in the market.  This is what we do.”

Island Realty makes marketing and advertising a huge priority.  “We probably spend five times more than our competition on marketing,” says Lloyd.  “While most of the real estate agencies here only do local advertising, we do national and regional advertising as well as local.”

Lloyd cites the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times websites as two of his company’s many national advertising vehicles.  He and his agents also travel regularly to real estate shows around the country, where hundreds of qualified leads, all of whom pay to attend these exhibitions and are specifically looking for island property.  Many of these leads translate into sales.

With the baby boomers coming of age, reaping the benefits of long-term investments, inheriting estates from their parents, and even beginning to retire, this is a particularly dynamic time for sales of island property. If you’re thinking of selling your island property, now might be a good time to maximize your results.

But island property is a significant, rewarding investment at any time.  Whether you’re buying or selling, don’t leave the work up to amateurs, part-time real estate hobbyists or the “J.V.”  Call the “First Team.”  Put your trust in the experienced experts at Island Realty.  They won’t let you down.
